The graph compares the amount of money invested in books in 4 nations between 1995 and 2005.
Overall, what stands out the graph is that spending on books in 4 countries increased over the period of time. Another interesting point is that German spend more on book in 1995 and the amount of money invested in books remained the highest in 4 countries in 2005.

In 1995, book expenditure in Germany stood at 80 million and slightly increased to 90 million in 1999. The year 2005 witnessed a slight fluctuation in the amount of money invested in books to reach a peak of 95 million. Besides, the spending on books in France fluctuated gradually from 55 million to 75 million over the period of time.

The amount of money spent on book in Italy stood at 50 million and fluctuated slightly, after that the figure for spending on book remained stable at 50 million in 1999, followed by a significant increaseto just over 60 million in the last year. Meanwhile, the amount of money spent on book in Australia is the lowest in 4 nations. However , over the next 10 years, the figure rise and leveled off 50 million. Since then, this figure continued to rose significantly to reach a peak of nearly 65 million.
