It was evident that Switzerland and Denmark followed an upward trend while there was a rapid decline in Spain and the UK. The most noticeable change was seen in the expenditure of Switzerland.
Standing at zero money in 1975, the investment per person in Switzerland boomed by 2.6 dollars in 1980, rising further to over 5 dollars in 2000. Entering the later neighbor, Denmark paid 1.8 dollars for each citizen in 1980, followed by a gradual increase until 1995, before went up to 3 dollars in 2000.
In contrast, despite the same initial year of the budget, Spain and the UK were short of research funds into renewable resources. In 1980, the expense in Spain bounced, reaching a peak of 1 dollar apiece, followed by a substantial decrease of 0.5 dollars in 1990, before a slight upward trend in the remaining years. Regarding British scientists' funding, the data surged, reaching a peak of 0.9 dollars in 1985, followed by dipped gradually until 2000.
