The line graphs, two in numbers, delineate the standard periodic expense and number of children engaged in three different sports, namely football, athletics and swimming in the United Kingdom from 2008 to 2014, expressing the amounts in terms of the pounds and millions respectively.
Overall, as the year advanced children's sport had become costlier. In addition, football remained the most popular sport over the years but the least favorite changed into swimming from athletics.
A cursory examination of the first line graph reveals the amount of money spent in 2008 was 20 pounds per month which had increased steadily over the next six years and at the year 2014, it was 32 pounds.
As we move into the second graph, representing the number of children participating in different sports, football with about 8 million children in 2008 up from rose gradually to 9 million after six years. Swimming with 2 million at the beginning of the period steadily increased to 3 million in 2014. However, athletics had shown the most dramatic improvement of about octuple over a period of six years.
