The graphs below show the types of music albums purchased by people in Britain according to sex and age.

The bar graph illustrates 3 categories of music albums bought by the British according to gender and age group. Overall, males have a tendency to purchase more albums than females. Additionally, Pop music and rock music are prevalent among youngsters in Britain, meanwhile, the middle-aged population preferred classical music more.
For pop music, almost 30% of males bought albums whereas the figure for females stood at approximated 20%. At the same time, the age 25-34 group contributed the major of pop music album’s sale at over 35% opposed to nearly only 5% of over 45 aged people for the same category.
The market of rock music albums was mainly dominated by men with a purchase record of over 30% compared to 16% purchases done by women. Meanwhile, the percentage of people from 16-24 age group bought rock music album was the highest (32%) compared to only 6% of over 45 aged population seems interested in it
There was a small gap between the figure for males and females. The majority percentage was 45+ age (20%). Followed by 25-34 age, 5% less than 45+. The other age group only bought less than 5%.
