The charts above illustrate the registration by gender and level of study in six colleges of the HCT in 1999.
Overall, the majority of graduates in 1999 were female, which was shown in all six surveyed colleges.
According to the first bar chart, Dubai accounted for the highest number of students finished their study with 426 men and 547 women. The difference of two genders is various between 20 and 150 people. For instance, the highest difference was recorded for Dubai with 121 students while the lowest was 20 women of the Abu Dhabi College.
On one hand, Certificate and Higher Diploma were the two levels with more women than men while on the other hand, the number of Diplomas accounted for male is slightly higher than women. Interestingly, there were only girls studied Bachelor which takes 3% out of the total. Furthermore, half of the total students were in Certificate level, and just slightly above 25% were Diploma.
