The line graph provides information on how much percentage of homes used two different types of heating fuel according to the year of construction of homes.
Overall, natural glass was used more commonly in older homes and the newer homes use equal amount of natural gas and electricity for heat.
it is evident from the graph that about 60% of the homes built before 1950 used natural gas for heating fuel and equal amount of natural gas is also used in the homes constructed during 1950-1969. However, there was a significant decrease to 45% in the use of natural gas for heat in the homes built during 1970-1989 and then it remained constant in the homes built from the time period between 1990-2010.
Just 15% of houses built before 1950 utilized electricity for the purpose of fuel heating. The figure rose steadily until we see that 45% of homes built between 1990 to 2010 using natural gas for heat.
