How sugar is produced from sugar canes
The diagram illustrates the linear process of manufacturing sugar from sugar cane.
In general, the process has seven stages, starting with a cultivation of sugar canes and finishing with the drying and cooling step.
At the beginning, farmers plant sugar cane seeds for twelve to eighteen months. When canes are grown up, they can be harvested by people or an advanced mechano that could save more time. Then, this kind of tree needs to be crushed into cane juice by a crushing machine.
The preparation is already done and now the process of making sugar is ready to start. This liquid is poured into a purifying juice, which is used to refine the juice and discard redundant parts. In the subsequent step, after being filtered, this juice is heated in a massive pot on fire and then becomes syrup. Next, sugar crystals are extracted from the syrup by using centrifugal force. Finally, sugar is dried and cooled.
