IELTS Cambridge 10 test 1 writing task 1
The two given pie charts have a comparison of the percentage of energy consumption to the greenhouse gas release by household appliances in Australia.
Firstly, in the energy use chart, one can clearly see that heating is the greatest proportion with over two five, and cooling is the minority with an insignificant part. Similarly, cooling still plays a minor role in the amount of emission. While heating requires a vast majority of energy to serve Australian demand, water heating is the remarkable element dominating approximately one-third of the chart.
Second, although water heating is the largest part of the emission chart, it does not have a sharp statistical change. Instead, heating and other appliances dramatically reverse their proportions in terms of the former having a considerable decrease from 42% to 15%, and the latter rising noticeably to 28%.
Finally, no matter how slightly refrigeration and lighting makeup both the two pie charts, they seem to double their statistic in the second chart.
