In the year of 2010, the basic income of the British family was £29000 but, in comparison to the number of that in 2013, it reduced £4000. However, the money amount which British home-owner spend in 2013 was £15000, higher than 2010 which was only £14000.

The way the typical family in the UK spend did not changed much. Families in the UK still mostly spent their average income for fruit, vegetables; meat and fish. But there is a light decrease in the proportion of money they spend. They spent more on fruit and vegetables, accounted for 30% of their spending in 2013 – compare to 26% in 2010, and dairy products with proportion of 16% in 2013 – compare to just only 12% in 2010. Meanwhile, they slightly reduced their spending on meat and fish – 23% in 2013, compare to 26% in 2010 – and clothes – 13% in 2013 compare to 15% in 2010.
