Leadership and Influence
The perfect blossom is a rare thing. You could spend your life looking for one and it would not be a wasted life. I believe leadership can be nurtured. It is when we can overcome the situation and want it to be better. My city is in coastland maritime area in East Java called “Surabaya”. It has a conservative culture and tough competition in education. Long run-trial must be conducted for excellent marks and I’m getting used to it. That makes me learn about good qualities, especially in self-leadership, grits, and resilience.
When I’m in university. I was becoming a class instructor & coordinator because of my experience in coding and managing classes. Algorithm and Data Structure, Game Design and Computational Intelligence is the subject that I specialised to taught. The objectives of the classes were to help my fellow students learns from elemental until they can give their best. Being creative and making a meaningful impact on their project was also my responsibility.
My campus always oversaw several national level tech competitions from Microsoft, even they still have limited resources. To enhance the outcome, I’m also in charge of being Professor Assistant in Programming Laboratory as its facility for 2 years. The result of this intensives, in 2014 my campus has a top tier level in the national hall of fame. It also includes me as 2nd champion in Mobile Apps Application. In the end game, they have such great teamwork, it makes me think that helping people is a kind habit that I want to build in the process.
After my study in France. I helped the founder of mental-health start-up called RILIV.CO, Audrey Maximillian. I’m in charge of Head of Data or Data specialist. Growth and social impact were my primary job, but I also make Artificial Intelligence, a chatbot, to help the therapist probe clinical patient. This is when I get the first feeling that health services initiative may affect so many people getting better and faster treatment.
Right now, RILIV.CO actively gives easy access to psychologist across Indonesia with approximately 50,000+ users and awarded as Top 4 Google Business Group Story Search 2017.
Astra & EMTEK was also part of my journey in a corporate career. I joined as a Data and Analytics consultant and be on par with people who were more knowledgeable and more skilled. I used that opportunity to rise my aspiration and improving my service attitude to life whenever I go.
Summarizing, as Chevening Scholar and a leader, I will continue to open more opportunity not only for me to build the future bridge between Indonesia and UK, but also means give more Indonesian a better livelihood because I have a vision for them having a better quality of life by using technology.
