The line graph expresses the number of Australian citizens born in various place around the world from 1976 to 2011
Overall , It can be clearly see that the total number of Australians born overseas increased, which is also the trend for Asia and other countries. In addition, the number of Australians born in the UK decreased.
It is apparently seen that the percentage of Australians living in the UK reached a peak of 14% in 1976, and there was a downward tendency to only 5% after 35 years. A significant rise of 12% was seen in the number of australian living in Asia in 2011. In 1976 , the percentage of of Australians living in the other countries, which stood at 12%, was 4 times as much as that of asia.
From 1981 to 1991, the number of Australian citizens living in other places hit the lowest point of 7% and gradually increased to 14% , eventually decreasing slightly to 12%. The proportion of Australians immigrating to Asia has increased year by year, on the other hand, the proportion of Australians in the UK has decreased significantly. It is interesting that the number of Australians living in other countries, excluding the UK and Asia, peaked at only 14%, for which the total number of Australians living abroad is 25%.
