The line graph below shows the percentage of tourists to England who visited four different attractions in Brighton.
The line graph represents how many tourists visited four different attractions (art gallery, pavilion, pier and festival) in Brighton from 1980 to 2000. Units are measured in a percentage.
Overall, there were some changes with the tourists' preferences in visiting four different attractions over the projected periods. It is apparent that, pavilion had the most of visitors in most of years whereas the proportion of tourists visiting art gallery experienced a steady declining trend.
In terms of pavilion and festival, while pavilion increased in the percentage of tourists from 20% to 50% between 1980 and 1995, it decreased to record at 30% of tourists by 2010, festival remained almost unchanged with the proportion of tourists of about 25% during the same periods. After 1995, there was a slow fall in tourists' visiting rate for the pavilion and by 2010, it recorded of 30% tourists. Meanwhile, the festival had the same proportion of 25% tourists visiting rates.
In contrast, art gallery had experienced the most significant fluctuations over the periods. For the fist decade, the art gallery had a quick rise from 20% to 40% of tourists and then the proportion of tourists plummeted steadily until it reached at below 10% of tourists in 2010.
In opposite to tumbling preferences of tourists visited the art gallery, there was an increase in the percentage of tourists visited the pier. For the first decade, it also had a quick peak to 18% in 1985 just like the art gallery, but it rose constantly until it had over a quarter of tourists visited the pier by the end of the projected periods.
