The line graph depicts the number of radio and television audiences in term of percentage of popution in the UK in a typical day from October to December 1992.
Overall, the amount of radio listeners reached peak around 8 am. Meanwhile, television audiences were active in evening untill midnight.
Firstly, looking at the radio line, it is apparent that radio listeners were active in morning from 6 am to 1 pm, which was also the period that the number of radio listeners were more than television auduence. Especially, the quantity of radio listeners peaked at 8 am with approximately one quarter of the UK citizens. However, the amount of radio listeners dwindled after 5 pm and it remained the lowest in late night with merely about 2% of the population.
Turning to the line of television audience, it is evident that television audiences increased dramatically from 3 pm to 5 pm. Afterward, the number of audience were more than 35% of the total population till 11 pm. Thereafter, the quantity of television audience declined sharply to 10% of the British population. The number stayed around 5% from 1 am to 7 am and it started to raise again after 11:30 am.
