The line graphs below provides information about the bananas cost in US dollar per KG in 4 different countries(Japan, France, Germany and USA) between 1996 and 2004.
Looking from overall perspective, it is readily apparent that banana price in US dollars per KG in Japan was very high. While, USA maintained banana cost remained steady throughout the entire period in comparison to among other countries. Although, banana price fluctuated in Japan, France and Germany countries.
At the beginning of period, Banana price were at $2 per kg in both Japan and France countries. However, Cost in Japan increased drastically reaching around $3 in 1998 and hitting high point. whereas, selling cost of banana remained study till 1998 in France and declined to 1.5 dollar in 1999 and after that, banana price fluctuated in both countries. 2.5 and 2 dollars were banana prices respectively, at the end of period.
Banana rate in Germany was high compared to USA in 1996 and figures for price at 1.5 and 1 dollar correspondingly. Although, after having banana price ups and downs till 1999 then price increased significantly and reached $2 in 2002 and ended with around $1.75 price. On the other hand, apart from slight growth in 1998 of price approximately $0.25 in comparison to $1 with previous year, it remained steady over an 8 years period.
