Looking at the line chart, there was an upward trend in the number of car thefts in Sweden from 1990 to 1993. By contrast, this figure for France and Canada declined steadily at about 7000 and 5000 thefts respectively in the year 1993. Besides that, this pattern in Great Britain fluctuated in the period of 3 years.
In details, in the next 3 years the proportion of car thefts in Great Britain increased significantly by 2000 thefts from 1994 to 1996. The trend in Sweden mirrored the trend in Britain but with a smaller number at this time. Meanwhile, this figure for France and Canada remained stable. In the last 3 years, there was a sharp decrease in the number of thefts in Britain and France while Sweden car thefts rose to nearly 15000.
