Look at the two maps of Sunnyhills University campus in 1955 and today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The two maps below illustrate the campus of Sunnyhills University between 1995 and today before and after the change. It is clear that the university made many renovations during this period, and many new facilities have been constructed or have been moved.
Before the renovation, there were two car parks on the campus, one in the upper left corner, and the other on the right side. The campus is covered by forest in the top right and the bottom left corner. The founder’s building is in the middle of the campus. Furthermore, to the left of it is the Watson building and the café on the right. The Scott library is between the Halls of Residence and the football pitch in a horizontal line. In addition, a football pitch, tennis courts, and a gym are next to each other to form a fitness area. They are in front of the second car park and cafe. The main reception is a part of the Watson building, it is on the left side of the student’s union, opposite the bus stop.
After the construction and development, there is a new pond in the bottom right corner, which is covered by a creation area. The cafe is bottom of the campus and in front of the laboratories. There are 2 halls of residence on the left side of the campus, close to the Watson building, and the art building. The main reception is on the top left of the campus, next to the car park. The student union is between the bus stop and the gym. The cafe is a part of the founder’s building, on the left of the Scott Library. There are some table tennis tables on the right side of the campus.
In summary, the renovations were mainly made to facilitate for everyone, save space, more convenient even though the number of trees has been reduced.
