The diagram illustrates modifications planned for the site of an airport called the Southwest Airport next year.
Overall, according to the plan, the Southwest Airport will be significantly redeveloped with the addition of ten more gates to airplanes and several new amenities. In contrast, the two passport control sites and the entrances along the departure and arrival terminals will be remained.
Regarding the two passport control areas, the sites themselves are separated into two categories as a section of security for departures and another of customs for arrivals, located with only a check -in counter and a cafe at their departure terminal. In the future, there will be another entrance added to each terminal, while the arrival one will be introduced with another cafe, an ATM and a care hire section on the utmost right. The security passport control site will have a bag drop section constructed on its left side, followed by shops from the north, whilst relocation of two other facilities will be presented within the area: the cafe to the southern west and the check-in counter to the northern east.
In the north of the airport is a rectangular area consisting of 8 gates to the airplanes and a walkway for passengers to travel across. In the following year, this northern site will be expanded into a Y-shaped section, located with 10 more gates and a sky train railway as a replacement for its previous walkway.
