The diagram depicts the process of producing sugar from sugar cane.
Overall, the process consists of 7 measures, commencing with growth of sugar canes, and ending up with dehydration and cooling-down of the produced sugar.
At first, sugar canes grow up in the first 12-18 months of their life cycle. The plants are then harvested by human power or by transports specific for agricultural purposes. Once cut down, the canes are transported to a machine where they are converted into a liquid form through crushing. This step is followed by purification of sugar cane juice through a limestone filter. The following measure is evaporation, which involves high temperature to produce syrup from the cane juice. Followingly, sugar crystals must be delivered to a centrifuge, where they are separated from the surrounding syrup. The whole process ends with the method of drying and cooling the produced sugar in a metal container. The sugar production then continues in a repeated process, once sugar products manufactured before are available for introduction to the market.
