The maps below illustrate how Frenton changed from 1990 and 2012
The map illustrates the transformation that have occurred in Frenton, over 20 year period starting from 1990 to 2012. The most obvious transformation is the replacement of the green area with technopark and residential building in the southwest side of the town and residential building in north side.
To begin with, there have been several major changes in the building usage in the town. Some building such as houses, café and park, theatre, and shops in the right side or in the east of the town have been turned into blocks of flats, hotel and golf course, cinema, and supermarket. A new flat also has been built in north east across high street.
Moreover the hospitality by the street has been transformed into bigger one. In the other hand, the bank in front of school in the north west of the map vanished, turned into restaurant with bigger building. Beside that changed, the school building remains the same.
Another landscape stay untouched was the high street, which is stay straight from north east towards south west, dividing the city into two area.
