The maps below show a bookstore in 2000 and now.
The maps depict the modifications taken place in a bookstore from 2000 to the present day.
Overall, the shop has witnessed significant changes, prominent of which are the relocation of some bookshelves of different genres and the accommodation of new reading tables in the central part of the place.
As per the maps, in 2000, when coming into the store from the entrance, it is immediately noticeable that on the left-hand side, the fiction section took up all the space, however, in recent times, this area has been separated into four sections with art, hobbies and cookery-related books, which aligned themselves with the fiction section decreased in size. Additionally, the non-fiction bookshelves have been placed in replacement of fiction ones.
Furthermore, a line of bookshelves of art, hobbies, and cookery has been resituated to the aforementioned area to make way for the readers’ tables. Adjacent to this is a new café built in place of the former non-fiction section. Notwithstanding several refurbishments mentioned, there has not been any significant modernization made to the service desk or the bookshelves of traveling and new arrivals.
