The diagrams give the information about the current map and development plan of a centre of small town Islip.
Overall, Islip town centre has been planned to develop significantly, a construction of dual carriageway has been planned around the centre, while new housing schemes will be built in future.
In terms of roads, it can be seen from the maps that a double road has been planned to develop around the centre of the town, whereas the main road in the current map will be converted to pedestrians way only. With regards to shops, shops to the north of the Islip town centre has been planned to convert to shopping centre, however bus station and a car park has also been planned to the west and east of shopping centre respectively. Shops to the south of main road will remain unchanged.
Regarding the housing plan, two new residential buildings have been proposed one just to the east of car park while the second one will be built to the west of town centre near the park. The size of the park will also be shrunk, whereas the housing and school to the south and south-west respectively will not be developed.
