The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islipas it is now, and plans for its development.
The maps illustrates the current state and the changes that have been planned for a town named Islip.
Its is noticeable that tje town will go through a lot pf modifications. Expansion of road, mew housing, car park can be seen.
Looking at the two picture in more detail it can be seen that, in the planned future development, the town centre will have a growth in size. Instead of the single main road, a dual carriageaway can be observed in the new map. Also in the north side of the previous map, shops can be seen, which will no longer be available. As a replacement, three new buildings namely bus station, shopping mall and carpark will be constructed. Besides, new residential area will be built near those buildings.
Furthermore, a pathway only for the pedestrians will be available constructed, however the shops near the road will stay the same. The school which is situated on the south side of the town will be modified. The park for the local people, unfortunately, will be a lot smaller than the past. Overall, the town will evolve largely.
