The maps below show the layout of James Park in 2017 and the proposed changes to the park in 2027.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The two maps illustrates the expected changes of facilities in James Park between 2017 and 2027. While Science Center will be expanded, two Playgrounds will be consolidated into one next to a newly added Gym. Theater and Garden are also planned to build in the park. By such changes, the park estimates 4 times bigger number of monthly users as of 2017 in a decade.
One of the most notable differences in ten years is the extended Science Center. Its space will be about twice larger than as of 2017 in ten years. As a result, the current space for Fountain will be used for Science Center and Garden which will be introduced in 2027.
In addition, in 2017, the park had two Playgrounds, but according to the proposed map of 2027, these Playgrounds will be one, relatively small Playground in the left side of the map. After the Toddler's Playground, Theater will be built and also, un the blank space just below the Main Playground in 2017 will be Gym in 2027. With such investment, the park facilities will be more attractive to wider age groups whereas in 2017, its main facilities were for small children and their families.
Other than that, there is a minor change in Path which will connect each new facilities, while the statue will stay in the same place.
In conclusion, the proposal including expanding existing facilities, developing new ones, and removing old ones will increase the park's users significantly from 5000 to 20000 in the estimation.
