The maps illustrate two general layouts of a village called Stokeford in two different years, 1930 and 2010.
Overall, the number of houses rose drastically and some facilities removed after those 80 years. In addition, farmlands were perished in order to develop the residential area, however, some of the important places still stood.
Initially, in 1930 a vast area of the village was allocated to two farmlands, one in the northeast part of the village and the other in the southern part. A primary school which grew later in 2010, was located in front of the post office and two shops at the village centre in 1930. Furthermore, a large house which had gardens was on the southern side of the primary school.
Later in 2010, farmlands and shops took their places to a large number of residences, however, the post office and the bridge did not see any changes. Finally, the big house replaced by a retirement home and got smaller, while the primary school became bigger by merging with a part of the old farmland.
