A glance table presented reveals information of mass transportation built in some major cities over

the world. Building over one hundred length of transportation system in the nineteenth century,

London was the trailblazer city providing vast route system with more than 500-millions commuters a

year.

In the same centuries, Paris developed into urban place, same as London, owing to installing 594-m

metro systems that was able to carry almost nine-hundred people. Other developed countries such as

Tokyo, Washington DC and Kyoto subsequently initiated devising mass transportation in the

twentieth century which had total length of 149 km, 114 km, and 11 km, respectively. Of the cities

around the world, Tokyo had the most sized system since it afford to transport nearly 1434 millions

people across the city whereas Kyoto had the least with only eleven millions passengers per year.

Furthermore, it is an intriguing fact that development of transportation system in Los Angles, which

had the capacity of 90 millions people a year, was recently completed in 2001 with 14-km length of

MRT - stands for mass rapid transit.
