Percentage of people going to the cinema in a European country on different days
The bar charts illustrates the proportion of movie-goers in a European country on different days in 3 years: 2003, 2005 and 2007.
Overall, while the percentage of people visiting the cinema on Wednesday witnessed a downward trend, the figures for other days saw no significant changes over the years. In addition, people in this country went to the cinema the most on weekends.
In 2003, the percentage of people going to the cinema on Monday was 10%, a third of that on Sunday. While Saturday witnessed the highest proportion of movie-goers (40%).Whereas, the figures for these 3 days increased by roughly 5% in 2005, the final year saw a marginal declined 3% in all 3 figures. Meanwhile, the figure for Friday remained stable at 30% after 4 years.
Starting at 15% in 2003, the percentage of cinema on Tuesday, higher than that on Thursday by 3%, in 2003, after which both figures saw a drop of 2%. In the final year, while the figure for Tuesday increased slightly to 19%, that for Thursday rose considerably by 5%.
