Essay topics:

The percentage of people who were born in Australia and who were born outside Australia living in urban, rural and town between 1995 and 2010. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting this main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The two bar charts compare the percentage of people born in three types of areas (cities, towns, and rural areas) that are either inside or outside Australian territory in 1995 and 2010.

Looking from an overall perspective, there have been some significant changes in terms of the locations where people are born. In 1995 most people are born in cities that are outside and inside Australia and this still remained the same in 2010. Meanwhile, the number of people born in the two remained areas both inside and outside Australia decreased significantly.

Beginning with the 1995 bar chart, it can be easily observed that cities inside and outside Australia had the highest population, at 50% and 60% respectively. The proportion of people born in towns that belonged to Australia was 20%, while the figure for towns outside Australia was only 10%. About 30% of citizens are born in Australia's rural areas and 40% of babies are born in rural areas outside Australia.

Turning to the second bar chart, we can see that the gaps between the number of people born in cities and remained areas are very large. Inside Australia, more than 60% of people were born in cities, which was around 47% higher than those who were born in towns and rural areas. Moreover, up to 80% of people were born in big cities outside Australia, while the rates of newborns in towns and rural areas outside Australia were less than 10%.
