The given graph illustrates the proportion of visitors in four distinct attractions in Scotland in the period of three decades.
The castle attracted tourists most of the time. The festival had a negligible change in visitors and the others fluctuated considerably.
In 1980, a fifth of tourists to Scotland, which was two times higher than people coming to the zoo, visited the aquarium in Edinburgh. The following two years, the percentage of tourists attracted by the zoo and the rate of visitors in the aquarium hit the peak. They both hit the trough in 1990 and continued to hit the peak and the trough at the same time from 1995 to 2005. In 2010, the proportion of tourists to Edinburgh’s zoo reached the highest point which was 20%. On the contrary, the rate of visitors who came to the aquarium accounted for under 10%, it reached the lowest point.
The festival was the most attractive place in Edinburgh. 30% of tourists wanted to visit it when they came to Edinburgh. The rate of visitors taking part in the festival oscillated around a fourth until 2010. The proportion of Edinburgh’s castle visitors was the second highest in 1980. Then it rose sharply to approximately 45% in 1995 and became the highest till the latest time mentioned in the line graph.
