It is clear in the chart that paper is the item that got recycled the most in the world, while glass recycling takes the highest portion in Melbourne.
In detail, worldwide recycling rate of paper is 54%. In Sydney and Melbourne, it's only 22% and 24%, respectively. That's only one fifth and one-fourth in each city's rate of recycling. On the other hand, the global only sees 11% of total glass products got reproduced, while in Sydney has its number tripled. Melbourne even has a bigger number of 55%, 5 times bigger than the world. In fact, this is the most recycled type of items at this city. Following by plastics, we can see a rate of 40% in Sydney, 21% in Melbourne and 34% in the world.
