The pie chart below shows the information about where coffee is produced, consumed and where its profit goes.
The pie charts give the data on the production and consumption of coffee in different places and its profit distribution.
Overall, it is clear that coffee is generated mostly in South America, but the main customers are people in Europe. However, shippers gain the highest rate of profit from the trade of coffee.
Regarding the manufacture of coffee, only 2% coffee is produced in Oceania, compared to South America is accounted for 44% of the whole production. The proportion of coffee generated in Central America, Africa and Asia are not much different, ranging from 17% to 19%. Looking at the second pie chart, over a half of the total coffee is to cater for Europe, doubling the figure for other nations. In contrast, only a minority of coffee is used in North America and Japan, at 11% and 7% respectively.
In term of profit from this commodity, 55% of the total profit belonged to shippers, twofold higher than the profit distributed for sellers. By comparison, both explorers and Producers attain equally the proportion of profit, at 10% each.
