Two pie charts compare various components of household trash in the United Kingdom for the year 1985 and 2000. As an overall assessment,it can be seen that organic household waste had increased in seven years.

As to the graph, there was almost no increase in household trash from the components namely wood and plastic. In contrast, the Britten managed to reduced the household rubbish comming from textiles,glass and metal significantly. It accounted for a drop of nearly 50%. At the same time, they were successful in reducing paper waste from 36% to 16% whereas they failed to do so in kitchen or organic waste. Dust and cinder were also the rubbish contributor which stood at 8% compared to 17% household generated from various sources.
Overall,it is a mixed bag report where the marked reduction in kitchen waste was offset by paper waste.
