The pie charts below show the percentage of water used for different purposes in six areas of the world.Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The pie charts display a comparison of water consumptions in domestic, industrial and agricultural sectors in 6 areas of the world. The data is calibrated in percentage. Overall, agricultural and industrial use make up the majority of water consumption, while the least amount of water is used for domestic purpose.

In detail, noticeable similarities can be seen in the 2 regions of North America and Europe. The largest proportion of water, at roughly half of the total water consumption, is used for manufacturing purposes. Agricultural use takes up 39% in North America and 32% of water consumption in Europe, making it the second most common use of water in these regions. Similarly, these areas have almost identical domestic figures for water consumption, accounting for 13% in North America and 15% in Europe.

On the other hand, the most prevalent use of water in Central Asia, Africa, South East Asia, and South America is for the purpose of agriculture, at 88%, 84%, 81%, and 71% respectively. Compared to North America and Europe, these areas use noticeably less water for industrial and domestic purpose, accounting for only around 10%. While more water is required for manufacturing in South East Asia compared to household use, the opposite of this can be observed in Africa, Central Asia, and South America.
