The pie charts illustrate how people in Canada and Australia access the news.
Overall, it is evident that the share of each different category is made up differently in the two nations. However, to be specific, TV and online were consistently been the priority choice for Canadians and Australians to access the news, meanwhile, the others method were less popular in those countries.
Looking at the charts more closely, one can recognize that, in Canada, the majority of people used TV as their main way to update news, accounting for 40 percent. Followed by online news, representing about 36 percent. A similar trend was also seen in Australia, while the share of online news and TV, which regarded as the most popular ways of getting the news. Holding about 52 percent and 37 percent respectively, their combination made up more than four-fifths of the total. On the contrary, the share of radio and not specified ways, hitting the low among five distinguishing categories. Specifically, in Canada, they accounted for 7 percent and 3 percent in the order given, and both made up 2 percent in Australia. In addition, in Canada, the figures for print news comprised 14 percent. Meanwhile, in Australia, it just represented half of what it did in Canada.
