The line graph illustrates the figures for investigation received by the Tourist Information Office in a particular city throughout six months in 2011.
Overall, it is evident that there were some significant changes, especially, enquiries got in-person stood out as the one having the most surprising change among three categories. Moreover, the amount of face-to-face and telephone enquiries experienced an upward trend, whereas letters and email shrank gradually to the end of the time in question.
Looking at the graph more closely, one can see that, at the beginning, telephone accounted for over 900 enquiries, holding the highest figure. However, in the next month, the number of enquiries received by telephone fell slightly to 800. From February, the figures for telephone raised continually until April, when it soared significantly from 1000 enquiries to approximately 1600 enquiries in Jun. On the other hand, in the first month, the number of investigations gained by letter and email particularly held almost 800 enquiries, representing the second-highest enquiry. Nevertheless, its figure shrank steadily until the end of the time in question, remaining at 400 enquiries, just making up approximately one-four compared with what the investigation received direcly did. Last but not least, the amount of enquiries obtained directly hit the bottom of over 400 in January. Surprisingly, its figures ascended dramatically to Jun, comprising over 1800 enquiries and is projected to rise continually.
