The pie charts illustrate the percentage of five different energy types in France in the years 1995 and 2000. Overall, coal and gas were the mist popular types of energy in France in both years.
The coal accounted for almost a third, remained relatively constant in both years. Similarly, the production of gas was 29.63% in 1980, experienced an insignificant growth (30.31%) in 2005. In contrast, energy contribution from petrol decreased from 29.27% in 1995 to 19.55% in 2005.
Nuclear energy comprised of 6.40% of total energy production in 1995, experienced a growth of almost 4% in 2005. With regards to other energy, there were almost 5% produced in 1995, before increasing to 9.10% after 10 years.
In conclusion, although other sources and nuclear energy surpassed energy production than 1995, the petrol contribution went down by almost 10% with in a decade.
