Overall, france produced its electricity more from nuclear, whereas conventional thermal was used more in germany in 2009. While germany had 560 Billion kWh, france had 510% billion kWh.
Looking at the data in more detail, germany produced more electricity from conventional thermal at 59,6%. it was followed by nuclear, renewables at 23.0%, respectively. Within the renewables, wind had the biggest rate at 36.9%.
When it comes to france's generation, nuclear is the highest source that they used at 76.0% in 2009. renewable and conventional sources had a small effect at 13.7%, 10.3%, respectively.In the renewables, Hydro electric was used most at 80.5%. 10.5 percentage of people generated their electricity from wind. Biomas had only 8.1%.
