The pie charts make a comparison among the percentage of the nutrients in two dishes namely Medium Baked Potato and Macaroni which are used for dinner.
Overall, there are five main nutrients in baked potato and macaroni and both of them have the highest percentage in carbohydrates. Additionally, the nutrients in a potato are more evenly distributed than the macaroni.
It can be obviously seen from the graph that the macaroni was dominated by the monosaccharides which occupied nearly 55% of total nutrients compared to just 35% in the grilled potato. The second-largest percentage is saturated fat, which makes up nearly over a fifth of the total nutrients, being twice as high as that of the medium potato. The rest of the nutrients which account for a quarter to put together, contains protein, glucose, and other nutrients, with its percentage at 11%, 11% and 5% respectively.
In contrast, the nutritional components in the medium grilled potato are more balanced in the amount of carbohydrates and protein than in macaroni, which makes up over 60% of total nutritional compositions. In addition, the percentage of glucose and other nutrients in this dish which contains 15% for each, compared to just 11% and 5% respectively in macaroni.
