The provided maps show data of the arrangements of the museum’s ground floor in 1990 and in 2010.
Overall, the northen part of the area has seen the most changes in the arrgangement and added facilities.
The most significant alteration goes to the archaeology gallery, which was seperated into two rooms with different purposes in 2010. The upper part is for connecting with children and the other is a place for displaying posters. The gift shops on the left side of the stairs was widen and added cafe serving. In 1990, there used to be a statue in front of the gift shop but it was moved to the central point of the floor in 2010. Moreover, a lift has been constructed below the café and gift shop.
The rest of the area experienced several changes, most significant was the expanded entrance in 2010. The local history room which had a door in the year of 1990 was opened freely at the end of the period, while the natural history room remained unchange through out the time. The office of the museum haven’t been transferred except for the lengthen reception counter.
