The plans illustrate the current layout of a university sports complex and proposals for its future renovation. Overall, the university sports center is projected to become much bigger with new recreational facilities available to students.
At present, behind the reception area is a 25-meter indoor pool flanked by a changing room and a seating area, while a gym is at the rear of the building. In addition, there are two separate outdoor courts adjacent to the main building on the east and west side.
With regard to the future plans, the outdoor courts are expected to be removed to make room for more new facilities whereas the building is planned to be upgraded to a self-contained sports complex. For example, the outdoor courts in the west wing will be replaced with a large leisure pool with a new changing room. Likewise, the outdoors courts in the east wing will be demolished to make way for a proposed sports hall, two dance studios, and another new changing room. In addition, there will be a sports shop and a café next to the two newly-built changing rooms while the original gym is slated to be expanded. Although the sports center will undergo dramatic changes, the current pool with the seating area and changing room on either side are going to remain as it is now.
