Essay topics:

The plans below show the site of an airport now and how it will look after redevelopment next year.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The given map indicates how the southwest of an airport will redevelop in the following year according to the plans. There have been several changes, the most noticeable being the increased number of gates, the introduction of further amenities such as shops, hire car service, ...

At present, there are totals of 8 gates in the southwest area and passengers can go from gate 1 to 3 or 4 by the walkway. In the departures lounge, there appears to be a check-in desk and a café on the opposite side. However, there remains a blank space in the arrivals lounge. After the security and passport control services, there are no facilities before passengers come into the gates.

Turning to the after development plan, as can be seen, there will be an establishment of the gates, which reach to a number of 18 gates, and it can be arrived to the gate needed by sky train. Instead of blank spaces behind the security and passport control sectors in recent days, there will be the appearance of shops in the next year's plan. Within the departures lounge, there is going to have an arrangement in the situation of the check-in desk and the café and also the emergence of the bag-drop service, which will locate next to the café. Moreover, it plans to have 4 entrances in both departures and arrivals lounge instead of 2 previously. In the arrivals lounge, there will be an extended corner in the bottom right in order to build a car hire service. On the contrary, there will also an operation of an ATM and a new coffee shop.
