Study the table below and look for patterns in passenger death rates in Country A in relation to the modes of land transport.
Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information in the table below.
You should write at least 150 words.

The following report represents the accurate rates of deaths found in Country A in terms of the mode of transport being utilized. The report is divided 7 sections presenting Modes of transport, five sequential years (1996, 2001, 2006, 2007, 2008) and the average of these years. The numbers depict the rates per billion passenger kilometers to accommodate the vast numbers of the population. It is evidently clear that the majority of deaths in all the years combined is attributed to Motor cycle transportation while the minimum is supported by the Air transportation.
BODY:
The report under took 9 types of modes of transportation in their analysis where two of them are not related to land transportation. The rate of accidents has decreased gradually with very few fluctuations in the following years with an exception of Bus and Coach for travel. Starting with 1996, the majority of accidents can be the effect of Motorcycle, Foot and Pedal cycle respectively, with the last one amounting to approximately half of the first. By the end of 2008, the three sections show a significant decrease at least 18 percent and a maximum of 28 percent. The average shown vouches for this decrease found throughout the years. The averages obtained for these divisions oscillate in the middle and are clearly not equal to the figures with which they started or ended.
The remaining modes of transportation deals with very less numbers when compared with the above discussed sections, but the Air transportation is worth some attention. It achieved 0 passenger deaths and has maintained its record with few disturbances in the span of 12 years, starting from 1996 with a rate of death of 0.2. The Water and Rail transportation remained consistent with their numbers from 1996 to 2006, the numbers decreased minimally by the end of 2008, and almost half the original numbers. The remaining Van and Car have dwindling numbers and in terms of percentages have shown the highest rate of decrease in numbers, while the Bus and Coach have operated inversely and grew in numbers, from 0.3 in 1996 to 0.8 in 2008. Though, the trends displayed in the report can expect a diverse average numbers, unfortunately there is not much difference in figures between the numbers obtained in 1996 and their averages from 1996 to 2008. Hence, it is fair to ignore their discrepancies throughout the years.
Therefore, it is safe to assume that the number of passenger deaths in terms of mode of transportation from 1996 to 2008 has decreased enough to be noticed but not significant enough to be dismiss the problem.
