The table given below shows the television figures for sports by country in millions. Those are four kinds of sports indicated in the first column, consist of tennis, golf, motor racing, athletics and four nations chosen for the survey sort in the first row: USA, UK, Australia, Canada.
The table shows that more American people watch sport on TV than the other three. In all four countries tennis is the most popular sport on TV.
The total number of viewers for tennis is nearly 26 million and in each country about 6-7 million people watch it.That’s the highest number from the three televison figures for sports remains. In constrast to tennis, the figure for motor racing’s viewer remains at the lowest level.
As can be seen, Britishes who shows preference to watching golf on TV have the lowest number but the number of motor racing televison figure is the highest. On the other hand, the USA has the highest number of people who are attracted by watching golf on TV but this nation just gets 1,5 - the second lowest.
