Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that there was an upward trends in all examined sources in which Local Taxes maintained the largest financial support. Conspicuously, the amount of money spent for officers and staff's salaries was the majority of distribution which outnumbered Technology and Buildings and transports sectors.
Initially observing at the sources of Police budget, National Government registered the highest contribution to the police's budget which slightly rose by 2.3 million pounds, from 175.5 to 177.8 million pounds in the given period. Thus was followed by the amount of Local Taxes which was a significant upsurge by over 11 million pounds to reach 102.3 million pounds in 2018 while Other Sources (such as grants) accounted for only a fraction of sources at around 38 million pounds in two years.
Regarding the apportionment of budget, the salary goes for officers and staffs witnessed a dramatic decrease from 75% to 69%, followed by Buildings and transport which remained the same at 17% over the period. Additionally, the figure for Technology was occupied nearly a twofold increase from 8% to 14% but still the lowest budget allocation.
