The table and charts show the police budget for a certain area in Britain and how the money was spent in two different years 2017 and 2018.
It is clear that the budget for police increased from all resources that is shown on the table. While the distribution of money on buildings and transport was unchanged, the money spent on salaries was decreased and the figure for technology increased.
In 2017, national government contributed to the police budget with £175.5 million, local taxes provided £91.2 million and the lowest money from other sources. In the next year, the money from all resources increased, we can see that local taxes rose by £11.1 million and total of the two other sources went up by £2.8 million.
Looking at the charts, in both years salaries pay for officers and staff was the highest with 75% in 2017 and 69% in 2018. The money spent on buildings and transport was the same in two years, at 17%. Finally, there was a significant increase in police budget using for technology from 8% to 14%.
