To begin with, population of 60+ age group in Asia was 12% in 2000 which is predicted to grow more than a quarter in 2050, whereas 5% of older people were accounted in Africa that was least in all regions which is expected to reach 12% in the future. Similarly latin America had 7% population of 60+ age group it will be forecast to grow 18% in 2050.
In terms of, in 2000, the population of older people was maximum in Europe in all regions and is anticipated to almost a third in 2050. However, north America and Oceania had similar population of 60+ age people that was 11% each which is projected to 26% and 22% respectively. The whole world population of more than 60 age group was 13% and is expected to grow 24% in 2050.
