The table below gives information about the problems faced by children in two primary schools in 2005 and 2015.
The table compares the percentages of pupils who struggled with different educational difficulties in two distinct primary schools in the years 2005 and 2015.
It is clear that school A had by far the larger number of pupils with different educational problems compared to school B in both years. Noticeably, while school A saw a decrease in the percentages of children struggling with those problems, figures for school B rose considerably over the same period.
In 2005, school A’s students experienced difficulties about concentration in lessons and following instructions accounted for 40% and 42% respectively. In the same year, in school B, the proportions of children who had the similar problems were only 15% and 6%. The other different educational problems made up from 22% to 35% in school A, and the figures for school B were from 7% to 14%.
Over the following 10 years, in 2015, overall, school A managed to reduce the numbers of students with these difficulties. Students attending school A with problems about concentration in lessons and following instructions decreased to 18%. By contrast, school B saw a dramatic increase in the percentages of children with education difficulties like spelling and following instructions, these figures doubled, from 5% to 10%, and from 6% to 12% respectively.
