The table illustrates data about the underground rail networks in six major cities. The oldest data is from London, and the newest is from Los Angeles. The data shows that the people of Tokyo used underground railway systems more than those in other cities.
According to the table, in London, data opened in 1863, the distance travelled in kilometres is highest in London, and the number of passengers who used trains is 775 million per year. In Paris, it was started in 1900, whereas in Tokyo, it was started after 27 years in Paris.
In Washington DC, it began in 1976, passengers who travelled were 144 million, and the distance cut by train is 126 km which made clear that individuals of Washington DC used train services less than other city. In Kyoto, for 11 km of route, 45 million travellers used train services which started in 1981.
In term of the last group, service in Los Angeles began in 2001 with 28 km of the route for 50 million travellers.
