Overall, food, drinks and tobacco figures had the highest consumption in all these countries while leisure and education categories were the lowest.
On food, drinks and tobacco consumption, Turkey was the country having the highest expenditure at 32.14%, followed by Ireland at 28,91%. The consumer spending of Spain in these figures was 18,80%. Italy and Sweden had the approximately consumption at 16,36% and 15,77%
On the other categories, Turkey, Spain and Ireland had roughly equal expenditure on clothing and footwear figures at more than 6%. Italy spent the most on these categories at 9% while Sweden was 5,4%. Turkey had the highest spending on leisure and education figures at 4,35%. In contrast, the expenditure of Spain on these figures was only 1,98%. The spending on leisure and education categories in Sweden and Italy was nearly 3% while Ireland was 2,21%
