Essay topics:

The table below shows changes in the numbers of residents cycling
to work in different areas of the UK between 2001 and 2011.

The given table details the proportional change in the number of people who rode bicycles to go to work in different locations within the UK over a period of 10 years from 2001 to 2011.

Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that over the period as a whole, the majority of the residents from Inner London cycled to work in comparison to the rest of the regions. Also, over time, the number of bicycle riders rose significantly in all the given areas.

According to the given illustration, over a decade, the number of cyclists in Inner London soared dramatically from 43,494 to 106,219 in 2011, resulting in a 144% overall change. The next surge of about 109% was witnessed in Brighton and Hove(3,168 up to 6,635). Although Outer London followed closely to Inner London at the start, with 33,836 cyclists, the same reported a low increment of only 45%(the least among all) by the period end.

Furthermore, Whilst Bristol, Manchester, Newcastle, and Sheffield noticed over 79% change(94%, 83%, 81%, and 80% respectively), by contrast, Cardiff, Gateshead, Exeter, Leeds, and Liverpool ranged between 65% and 48% change only over the entire period.
