The given table illustrates the amount of prisoners in the five-country over the period of 50 years.
It is true that the figures for imprisonment in three countries such as Australia, New Zealand, and Canada considerably reduced notwithstanding, the numbers in The United States and The Great Britain showed a drastic increase between 1930 and 1980.
On the one hand, people who was serving in prison at New Zealand was entirely 100 thousands in the begin of the stage and dropped down by a half of its amount in 1940 before growing again and reaching at almost 85 thousands in the year of 1980. While Australian prisoned criminals slightly fluctuated from around 70,000 to roughly 50,000 persons, these Canadian figures have smoothly declined from about 120,000 to just 70,000 in the period of fifty-year.
On the other hand, UK was the only country which has a significant rise of imprisonment in the five-country from the lowest measure at just 30,000 in 1930 to its peak stood at 85,000 in 1980. Nevertheless, US has become one of the countries which have the highest prisoners in 1930 with about 100,000 persons. Finally, there is a magnificent fluctuation in the number of prisoners in the jails of this nation in 50 years before reaching its peak at nearly 135,000 prisoners.
